DIGITAL is thrilled to congratulate two of our Members, Alayacare and Clarius Mobile Health, who are among eight businesses selected to be part of the first cohort of the Government of Canada’s Global Hypergrowth Project.
The Global Hypergrowth Project will provide selected firms with assistance in international expansion, acquiring talent, navigating funding opportunities, protecting IP, identifying export opportunities and participating in procurement processes. The project’s ultimate aim is to help selected Canadian firms become anchor enterprises, defined as having revenues over $1B and over 1,500 employees.
Clarius Mobile Health, headquartered in Vancouver, B.C., was a partner on DIGITAL’s Intelligent Network for Point-of-Care Ultrasound (PoCUS) project and its companion COVID-19 project. The PoCUS project leveraged Clarius’ portable ultrasound technology into a legacy of a highly integrated and functional PoCUS social networks accessible to B.C. and Canada’s broader healthcare workforce, so far consisting of 90 point-of-care ultrasound devices in remote, rural and Indigenous communities throughout B.C. The ongoing impact of this technology deployment is providing critical interventions in the care of rural residents, such as a patient of a midwife on Salt Spring Island, B.C. and resident of Haida Gwaii, B.C.
Alayacare, headquartered in Montreal, Québec, was lead partner on DIGITAL’s Providing Safe and Effective Home Care During COVID-19 project. The project quickly brought lifesaving and capacity-preserving tools to market to aid the homecare industry during critical early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. Led by Alayacare, the project team implemented COVID-19 screening forms, contact-tracing reporting and incidence response tools in weeks versus months, protecting the lives of Canada’s aging and most vulnerable populations.
“DIGITAL is incredibly proud to see two of our Members, Alayacare and Clarius Mobile Health, selected as part of the first cohort of the Government of Canada’s Global Hypergrowth Project. The leadership of Clarius Mobile Health and Alayacare on key DIGITAL projects aimed at improving the sustainability, accessibility and effectiveness of our health care systems is delivering lasting impact benefiting Canadians for years to come. Both these organizations are on the path to remarkable success, and we congratulate them on this latest achievement.” – Sue Paish, CEO | DIGITAL
