British Columbia made its mark on Canada’s national stage as more than 150 delegates came together to represent the province at ALL IN, the country’s largest artificial intelligence conference. Organized by AInBC, the collective “Team B.C.” brought together over 60 innovative companies, researchers, and ecosystem partners — forming not only the largest provincial delegation at the event, but also one of the most dynamic and engaged.
The energy surrounding Team B.C. was unmistakable. From insightful panels to spontaneous connections across the show floor, the delegation’s presence underscored B.C.’s growing leadership in Canada’s AI and digital technology ecosystem. Among the standout moments, Vancouver-based Miraterra took home the top prize in the conference’s Agritech Challenge, earning the opportunity to pitch at the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization’s competition in Rome, a global platform that highlights how Canadian AI is shaping solutions for food security and sustainable agriculture.
Before the conference began, AInBC also coordinated a visit to MILA, one of the world’s foremost AI research institutes. There, 50 innovators from across British Columbia explored potential collaborations and research partnerships, deepening ties between Canada’s east and west AI communities. The exchange highlighted a shared ambition: to leverage Canada’s collective expertise and ensure AI innovation remains both cutting-edge and inclusive.
The B.C. presence at ALL IN extended beyond the conference floor. Activities throughout the week included a DIGITAL Brew Member Meet-Up, the B.C. Delegation Reception, and countless one-on-one meetings that fostered meaningful connections between innovators, investors, and policymakers. Each engagement added to the sense of momentum — one that continues to build.
Two standout moments from the conference’s closing day reflected this national energy. First, an engaging panel featuring Minister Evan Solomon explored how Canadian enterprises are adopting agentic AI to enhance efficiency, unlock new capabilities, and transform complex, regulated industries. Then, The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Industry, closed the event with remarks emphasizing the critical role that Canada’s global innovation clusters — including DIGITAL — play in ensuring the country’s AI technologies are developed responsibly, securely, and for broad economic and societal benefit.
As ALL IN 2025 came to a close, one thing was clear: the momentum around Canadian AI has never been stronger. For DIGITAL, the week reaffirmed why collaboration across provinces, sectors, and industries is essential to accelerating innovation that serves Canadians and strengthens our global competitiveness.
A special thank you to our collaborating sponsor partners, AInBC, Invest Vancouver, Jelly Academy, and Innovate BC, for their continued partnership and commitment to showcasing British Columbia’s innovation excellence on the national and global stage.
