December 2024 | We are deeply saddened by the passing of Greg Caws, a visionary leader, dedicated innovator and cherished friend. Greg was not only a Board member and one of the original founders of DIGITAL but also its heart and creative spirit, whose unwavering determination helped shape us into everything we are today. A champion of Canada's innovators, Greg’s brilliance and passion for technology were matched only by his generosity, kindness and commitment to uplifting others. His strong advocacy for inclusivity, diversity, equity and representation within workspaces and decision-making extended to fostering countless emerging and diverse voices across this country. He served as a guiding light for countless individuals, uniting teams and inspiring excellence across British Columbia’s technology sector and beyond. His energy and drive in the early days of DIGITAL left a lasting impact, bringing together Canadian innovation to create a better country—and world—for all of us. While we mourn the loss of a true pioneer and dear friend, we are forever grateful for his wisdom, warmth and relentless optimism. In addition to his professional life, Greg was a wonderfully present father, husband and lover of the outdoors who led by example for us all. Greg’s legacy will continue to inspire us as we carry forward his vision for a brighter, more connected future. He will be deeply missed and remembered with enduring love and admiration.
