On December 11th, we held our final Thought Leadership Breakfast of the year, discussing how to develop an Intellectual Property Strategy to Grow your Business. Our Thought Leadership Breakfasts bring together a panel of experts to speak about specific topics or trends in the technology industry.
We were fortunate to have a diverse panel of speakers including Karima Bawa, Senior Fellow at Centre for International Governance Innovation, Evgueni Loukipoudis, Chief Technology Officer at the Digital Technology Supercluster, Janet Grove, Managing Partner at Norton Rose Fulbright, and Iain Begg, Managing Director of Innovation Partnerships at UBC.
Some key takeaways from the breakfast included the importance of starting an IP discussion early, IP literacy, and considering IP versus freedom to operate.
A huge thank you to McCarthy Tetrault for hosting us in their space, and to our speakers for taking the time to share their insights. We look forward to the breakfast topics we have planned in 2020!
