The Problem
New hospitals are built based on past hospital designs, current workflows and “gut feel” rather than quantified operational data and care delivery evolution.
How We Are Solving It
This project aims to create a digital/virtual copy of St. Paul’s Emergency Department in order to optimize design, workflow and simulate operations and inform the construction of the hospital of the future.
The Result
This feasibility study investigated the commercial viability of developing a platform that could develop a digital/virtual copy of St. Paul’s Hospital’s Emergency Department in Vancouver, British Columbia to inform the construction of the hospital of the future and optimize design, streamline workflow and simulate operations.
