Celebrating the success and contributions of DIGITAL members to Canadian innovation

It’s a honour to help celebrate our Members, and highlighting their achievements through various award nominations keeps our team busy. We’d like to take this time to celebrate their latest recognitions and, most importantly, showcase the innovative technology being created along the way.



Jessica Regan, CEO of FoodMesh, took home the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Award at the 2024 YWCA Awards. Through their lead on the Emergency Food Distribution Network initiative, they accelerated the scaling of their online food recovery platform, becoming Canada’s largest online ecosystem of food suppliers, charities and farmers. Additionally, DIGITAL’s unique innovation model provided access to the collaborative technology partners and customers that FoodMesh required to achieve its goal of 1.5 million meals each month.

Marc Fiume, Co-Founder and CEO of DNAstack, recently received the Health Privacy Leadership Award at the 2024 PICCASO Awards. DNAstack leads our Canadian Platform for Genomics and Precision Health initiative, delivering better outcomes for Canadians by facilitating AI-powered discoveries across data networks in neuroscience, oncology, rare diseases, infectious diseases, healthcare, agriculture and more.

Project lead RxPx received the InterSystems Impact Award for their work on improving clinical trials through an AI Clinical Buddy System. This same AI technology is being utilized in our Leveraging AI for Next Generation Clinical Trial Technologies initiative.

Deepak Kaura, Co-founder and Chief Product Officer of Synthesis Health, was honoured as one of the 2024 Digital Health Executives of the Year at the Digital Health Canada Awards. Synthesis Health spearheaded our XrAI and Iris initiatives, pioneering healthcare technologies designed to streamline, advance and revolutionize healthcare solutions.
