The Problem
In today’s healthcare system, it’s estimated that professionals spend up to two-thirds of their time on administrative tasks like clinical notes, billing and scheduling; time that could be better spent on direct patient care. Advances in artificial intelligence (AI) can be used to manage much of this routine work, but current solutions often lack industry-specific application and confidentiality safeguards for dealing with highly sensitive information.
How We Are Solving It
Expeflow’s cloud computing platform manages workflows for healthcare and other information-sensitive industries with requirements exceeding generic software packages. In collaboration with InnerQore Health Psychology and Wellness and iClerk, Expeflow will develop AI Agents that works alongside mental health professionals by automating time-consuming administrative tasks, protecting patient data and freeing up valuable clinician time.
The project will collaborate closely with a team of psychologists during the development stage to identify and prioritize routine documents that mental health professionals regularly review and generate during patient interactions. The resulting informed AI agents will then leverage a combination of large language models (LLMs) and personal knowledge models to relieve mental health professionals of their time-consuming administrative tasks related to document review and preparation.
The integrated Expeflow solution will provides differentiated value to health organizations by prioritizing secure data handling, automating administrative tasks, providing specialized healthcare data integration, and enhancing telehealth with personalized, intelligent automation & insightful analytics. The practitioner/patient benefits are ultimately enhanced and more productive overall healthcare experience.
In addition to AI Agents for psychologists, the project will create a Case Study, Business Model and Global Strategy to show the business value of the solution to potential customers and demonstrate how it can expand beyond Canada. Ultimately, this project aims to help position Canada as a global leader in the emerging product category of AI Agents to augment human capabilities.
